

JUNIOR Technical Project Manager

We’re looking for a tech-savvy and self-motivated Technical Project Manager to join our team.
As a leading provider of regulatory intelligence solutions for top investment managers, we build quality software for demanding users. We hold ourselves to aggressive delivery goals, and the Technical Project Manager will be essential in ensuring our initiatives are completed on time and in scope. Success in this role will require developing an understanding of our clients’ needs, and then partnering with teams across the organization to plan and deliver improvements to our software.

Responsibilities:

Partner with the Development Process Manager to lead delivery of a wide range of business application and information technology projects

Oversee full technical project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, project planning, resource planning, milestone setting, dependency identification, design, development, testing, and deployment

Drive communication on all aspects of the project with internal stakeholders on the Development, Implementation, Support, QA, BA, Technical Writing, Sales, and Best Practices teams

Use appropriate processes and tools to generate project plans, track project performance, manage changes in scope or schedule, oversee risk management, and execute postmortem analyses

Identify potential problems, road blocks, and scope creep; escalate issues to management as required

Lead project status meetings
Skills and competencies (the ideal candidate will have):

2+ years of professional experience working on small- to large-scale technical projects with inter-group dependencies and intermediate deliverables

Rigorous insistence on detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving

Knowledge of all phases of the SDLC and a familiarity with common methodologies, as well as a flexibility to adapt to what works best for the current project

Experience defining technical and functional requirements

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, managing several projects concurrently

Desire to learn new technologies, tackle new challenges, and grow professionally

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

High competency with the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

Familiarity with investment operations and/or regulation is a plus
-
Hands-on early career experience in a technical IT role is a plus
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related
