About the Role:

 

The Data & Analytics Team is responsible for: understanding of data requirements and data flows underpinning regulatory reporting, working with clients on automation of their dataflows, providing managed services to clients. Additionally, Data & Analytics team is involved in financial data and operational aspect of Best Practices stemming from their interaction with clients.

 

In the role as Data & Analytics Specialist you will work on managed services engagements and implementations of regulatory reporting software at our hedge fund and fund administrator clients; working closely with clients on analyzing their requirements, and translating these requirements into specifications, defining dataflows and organizing the work; work on onboarding of new regulatory forms onto existing reporting platforms.

Additionally, you may serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in business domain for internal groups helping develop the products and rapidly expand the portfolio of regulatory reports.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Delivery of timely, precise and focused regulatory reporting to managed services clients

  2. Implementation of Advise software automation at clients

  3. Gathering of requirements and producing data specifications for calculations based on the preliminary work produced by regulatory attorneys and core business analysts for new forms

  4. Analyzing internal processes, streamlining and optimizing in order to support growth of the company

  5. Interacting with the QA department, facilitating the development of test plans for new features

Tasks:

  • Gain superb understanding of clients’ needs and requirement and provide data-related services on the ongoing basis as a part of managed services engagements

  • Develop, document, optimize and test data flows surrounding Advise applications

  • Discern opportunities for optimization and automation of dataflows and help build internal tools facilitating faster and more efficient processing of data

  • In cooperation with the Implementation Manager, produce data status reporting as a part of project reporting

  • Serve as point of contact for client’s data-related questions

  • Provide filing support as it pertains to data automation and calculations

  • Provide feedback to development team on usability of software

  • Assist clients during filing season with their filings as required, collect concerns and feedback

  • Create test data along with test cases and reconciliation files for internal UAT

Skills and qualifications (the ideal candidate will have):

Education level

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics, or Information Technology

  • 4+ years in fund accounting, reporting, data, business analysis, or compliance role in financial services industry

  • Knowledge of financial products

  • Basic SQL knowledge

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Familiarity with financial services and organizations, particularly with private and mutual funds industry

  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting (Form PF, CPO-PQR, AIFMD, MiFID II, N-PORT, 13F, TIC, Solvency II, Open Protocol, PRIIPs, etc.) is a plus

  • Project Management education or experience is a plus
